Supplies I Used:
- Stamp Sets: Wicked (Oxford Impressions) & Oddities (TH/Stampers Anonymous)
- Distress Inks & Paint, Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Alcohol Ink, Distresser, Ink Blending Tool, Dimensional Magic
- Manilla Stock, Textured Card Stock, Ivory Card Stock
- Harlequin Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Tulle, Facet, Remnant Rub-Ons
This is a card where I had the background ready to go, all I had to do was think of a design and get it down! The easy part, right? The Dusty Concord & Mustard Seed DI background made me think – mystical – carnival — Palm Reader! Got It!
I heat embossed the palm image from the Oddities set with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder and chose a couple of remnant rubs as surface embellishments. The background stamps I used are from the Wicked set from Oxford Impressions and I randomly stamped a couple of the images around the palm.
I ran 2 of the corners through the Big Shot machine with the Harlequin embossing folder and rubbed Walnut Stain DI over the raised texture. The card is almost done, but I needed some flair.
The larger tear drop facet fit perfectly over the rub-on #13 so I used Dimensional Magic to glue it in place. I did color the facet first, with Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Ink in Eggplant and let air dry. I ripped a small piece of black tulle and tied through the jump ring of the facet.
I felt I needed something to offset the tear drop facet on the opposite corner so, I stamped the 13 Black corner onto a scrap piece of ivory card stock with Jet Black Archival, heat set and then spread a thin layer of DCP in Clear Rock Candy. When it was dry, I gently inked the crackled finish with Walnut Stain DI and adhered with 3D Dots.
Because my “Type-A” kicked in, I added the two black brads at the very last minute before attaching to the dark purple textured card stock, that is my card base. There–now, I’m feeling Lucky! How about you?
Thanks for stopping by!
